G2 Spacewall Demountable Partitioning

G2 spacewall demountable partitioning

What?
G2 is an economically priced demountable partition system with clean sophisticated lines that caters for the discerning client that seeks a partition system that looks good, is functional and provides long term cost savings with added flexibility.

Why?
Demountable systems have proven over time to offer considerable long term cost benefits both in terms of monetary outlay and corporate tax savings. This is especially applicable to organisations which need to respond rapidly to ever changing market conditions and that need to remain fluid in all aspects of their organisation to adjust to the prevailing market conditions.

The modern organisation is in a continual state of flux and a new market opportunity may bring about the birth of a new departments and the employment of new staff. In the converse an organisation may need to down size, restructure and reorganise staff accommodation.

Demountable systems are the only way to do this cost effectively and the least disruption to the working environment.

Besides the added cost and flexibility benefits a system that looks good can enhance the aesthetics of the working environment. We at Pelican Systems believe it is essential to create the right work atmosphere for staff to perform at their peak. An individual that is comfortable and happy in the work place will undoubtedly perform better and the benefits of a comfortable, aesthetically pleasing yet functional office environment cannot be underestimated.

Aesthetics
A partition system should first and foremost be a functional tool to achieve certain objectives that solely revolve around the segregation and demarcation of space. Besides this a system should also be a design tool that provides architects and interior designers with the opportunity to use the system as a medium to add to the overall ambiance and compliment the design elements of the office space. The system should therefore accommodate the use of a multitude of finishes and design effects and should not hinder design.

We believe G2 is a break through in aesthetic design as it brings together functionality, simplicity and visual design effects to create a system that is functional, versatile and easy to work with whilst providing architects and designers with a medium to test their creative limits.

Neatness
A prevailing dissatisfaction with the current systems on the market and the unsightly junctions they create provided our inspiration to change the way the various components in the system interact with each other.

We believe there is an inherent design flaw in most current systems on the market where you clip or fix aluminium sections on either side of a stud that creates a junction line on the face of the partition. Variable tolerances in the aluminium and steel components and some bad workmanship to add to the problem often leads to some very unsightly junctions, especially at multiple glazing junctions.

The new G2 aluminium design takes the junction line off the face of the partition and provides for one continuous vertical batten which runs from skirting to trim and a horizontal batten which runs between the vertical battens where required. This completely eliminates the unsightly junction line on the face of the partition. The vertical batten also sits recessed to the trim and skirting and the horizontal batten sits recessed to the vertical batten taking the focus off the junction point where these sections meet.

Structural Strength
Increased structural strength in a partition system is always welcome and due to the wrap around post design and the opposing forces created in the steel stud, the aluminum sections now clip on tighter providing a structurally stronger post at door and glazing frames.

On Site Labour Skills
If a task can be done more simply, faster or with a lower skill requirement and the same objective is achieved or improved on then we have progress. Due to the new innovative cleat system that holds the door and glazing aperture components together we are now able to offer fully glazed prefabricated modules, which can now be installed on site in less than three minutes. This ensures the benefits of factory controlled quality and economies of scale can be transferred to the site and ultimately to the end user as on site time, noise and disruption is greatly reduced.

How Long Will it Last?
G2 is made from the finest non-corrosive materials available and if correctly utilized and installed in accordance with the manufactures instructions should last a minimum of 10 years.

How Much Will it Cost?
For the property owner Spacewall G2 has distinct cost advantages from both a Tax savings point of view and a long term cost effectiveness point of view.

Due to the fact that G2 is a demountable system it can be depreciated straight line over six years providing a tax saving to the building owner or tenant. Drywall on the other hand is regarded as a fixed capital cost of the building and cannot be depreciated to save tax. Our cost comparisons show that the upfront cost on the new G2 demountable system is around 22% more than conventional drywall partitioning systems. However due to the tax advantages provided by the demountable system it ultimately ends up around 17% cheaper after the tax savings have been taken into account.

Furthermore using a demountable system means that the materials can be reused when making changes or revamping office space. Because drywall gypsum boards are screw fixed onto the studs and skimmed over they have to be physically broken down meaning that only minimal components can be reused. G2 on the other hand allows a 95 to 100% reuse of materials providing real long-term savings of up to 46%.

The more changes that are done in the life of the partition the greater these long term savings will be.

Who?
G2 is suitable for the property developer or owner who wants to retain ownership of his property for rental income purposes. This can be said to include the tenant who invests in their own partitioning after receiving an allocated allowance from the landlord associated with the term of their lease.

More broadly this will include anyone who requires an up market, flexible partition system that can be adapted and moved around to cater for their ever changing needs and due to this fact will be able to benefit from the long term cost benefits derived from using a demountable system.

Further more anyone who is in a position to take advantages of the tax savings afforded by using this demountable system should consider using G2.

Where Will I Use it?
G2 is designed specifically for office accommodation. The system is designed as a full height system, which is generally fitted under a slab or suspended ceiling. The system does have other practical uses and these should be discussed on merit with you sales consultant.
