Our Steel Brandering Solution
Steel brandering is increasingly being preferred to traditional timber brandering for both upmarket housing estates and domestic dwellings.
Pelicans Gridlock steel brandering has, for example, been specified for several luxury housing developments in KwaZulu-Natal, including the Simbiti Housing Estate in Ballito, and Zimbali Golf Estate on the North Coast. In addition, steel brandering has also been installed in an increasing number of suburban homes. Gridlock brandering is also relatively easily installed by small builders or DIY home improvers. It provides an exceptionally attractive end-product when used with feature bulkheads and ornate ceilings in upmarket dwellings.
Among the benefits of Gridlock steel branderings, ease of installation, neater and easier cutting on-site, reduction in waste, and easier transportation and building site storage. The use of steel brandering provides improved control over levelling with a resultant better skim finish on the ceiling. There’s no doubt that cost-effective steel brandering is the way forward in plastered ceilings for both commercial and residential application.
Steel brandering is also more eco-friendly than its timber equivalent because it reduces the increasing strain on the world’s timber resources.
