RHINO FIRE RATED BOARDS
Rhino FireStop boards is a gypsum plasterboard with the addition of fibreglass strands and unexfoliated vermiculite into the gypsum core to provide increased fire resistance.
Fire resistance:
Rhino FireStop board provide good fire protection in buildings due to the unique behaviour of their gypsum content when exposed to fire. Pure gypsum contains nearly 21% chemically combined water of crystallisation and about 79% calcium sulphate which is inert below a temperature of 1300 deg. C. When gypsum protected elements of a structure are expose to fire, the chemically combined water is gradually released in the form of moisture vapour. If a sufficiently high temperature is maintained, eventually all the water of crystallisation will be expelled.

RHINO MOISTURE RESISTANT BOARD
Rhino Moisture resistant boards 12.5mm and 15mm are lined on both sides with a distinctive green paper to ease identification. The core of the board is treated with a silicone additive. Applications:
• Rhino Moisture Resistant Board is a silicone impregnated gypsum board that is suitable for use in showers, bathrooms, kitchens and protected external applications.
• Rhino Moisture Resistant board is used in areas where ceramic wall tiling is required.
• Rhino Moisture Resistant board is not suitable for protection against continuous dampness or as a base for cementations rendering.
• Rhino moisture Resistant boards comply with the SABS 266: 1982 specification for plaster
board.
